44th Engineers day celebrated at Govt.Polytechnic for Women, Jammu

The engineers' day was celebrated with great pump & show in Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Jammu to-day in the Conference Hall under the agies of the student chapter of Institution of Engineers (I) at the Institute .

A symposium on the topic - "Role of technology in women empowerment" was held on this occasion.

Ms. Neetu Maini, convener of the student chapter declared the event open.

Er. Naresh Gupta MIE, senior lecturer Electronics & Communication in the Institute while deliberating on the occasion described the importance of Engineers Day, topic of the day through a power point presentation. He told that such events are being organized in a large number of Institutions throughout the country as well as at state and local centers of the Institution of engineers.

Thirteen students presented information papers on the topic "Role of technology of women Empowerment". The function was attended by the students of 5th semester and faculty of the Institution.

Er. Gurbachan Singh, Principal, while concluding the function appreciated the efforts of the students chapter and thanked the organizers for the nice function.

Certificate of participation were distributed among the participating students.
